Dear Prayer Team, Remember, you can sign up each week for a time to pray for Living Springs on our Web site. The six-week prayer emphasis ended, but the prayer hasn't! It is an encouragement to all of us when we go to the Web site and see those hours taken for prayer. So, if you can, please sign up for your time to pray this week. Thank you! Ministry Request and Updates: Please keep praying for us to find a secretary and to have the finances to hire him/her. We think we can survive with someone working one very full day a week or two half days. We will offer CFL (Chinese as a foreign language) classes at the end of the summer for foreigners who are here. Thank you for praying. We had four teachers volunteer and will be publicizing the classes in the area. Please pray we have many, many foreigners/expats join these inexpensive classes. We are also starting CE (Conversational English) classes and "Got a Minute" English. Please pray for success of these two ministries. Many times people have been drawn to Christ through these classes. Terrie will be teaching a Bible Survey and Basics of Christianity class that will be good for ESL students as well. Pray that we have many unbelievers attend the class as well as believers.
Please pray for the discipleship/mentoring we are doing as a church. There is a sense of real urgency to raise up disciples equipped to mentor others. We believe, and God is confirming this through many ministries here in Taiwan, that we are about to see an outpouring of God's Spirit bringing many to salvation. We need to have people ready to teach and guide new believers. Please also pray for those who have recently prayed to receive Christ in our church that we can begin discipling them soon. We are also praying for many to open their hearts to Christ. God is drawing them into our church and small groups. They are curious and seem so close to salvation. Please keep praying!
We have a few people in one-on-one discipleship training, and we hope to have more soon. Please pray that every single believer will be discipled and begin discipling others.
Please pray for Hoping, Leo, and others who are looking for jobs.
Please pray for total healing of those who have recently been ill or injured in our church. While we were gone a few members were hospitalized. All are out of the hospital at the moment, and we pray it stays that way. Please pray for safety traveling in traffic here. It is very dangerous at times, and we've had at least four people including Dave experience scooter accidents in the last year. We need your prayers and God's protection.
Dave is beginning a new series this week on Spiritual Warfare. Please pray for this series. It is an important one, and we know that the enemy doesn't want us to be equipped for battle.
We have some groups planning short term mission trips to help with the ministry. Please pray for those plans for for each person. We'll write more details as they are available. The first group is Herb, Lulie, and Angel from Dallas. They were here last year and are planning to be here the last week of October and first week of November. We are hoping Herb and Lulie will teach the marriage workshop they do in their church in Texas. We think it will really bless couples here. Please pray for many couples to take part in the workshop. Angel is supposed to be involved with the March for Life in Tainan and may be speaking there. Herb, Lulie, and we hope to also be involved with the March for Life. Pray that God will use this group in even greater ways than He did last time they were here. They have tremendous testimonies of God's love and grace to share with the people of Taiwan. Pray for open doors and many opportunities.
Thank you for your prayers for Gabriel and our dogs while we were gone. He did not have an easy task, but everyone seems to have survived. Thank you, Gabriel, for all your help!
Pray for Annie and Nate in the States that it will be a great time this summer for them, and that they will have a safe and uneventful trip back to Taiwan.
Please pray for Rachelle's visa so she can stay through the first week of November. Also, please pray for her future plans. She hopes to start college online in September and on campus in January.
Please pray we can get connected with other home school families in Taipei.
We love you all and appreciate your faithful prayers for us and this ministry! We can't tell you how much you mean to us. We truly are so overwhelmed with gratitude for you all. You are a wonderful group of faithful warriors, and you are a tremendous part of this ministry. Have a blessed week! Pastor Dave and Terrie Living Springs Church Taipei

The kids at Grandpa and Grandma Gundrum's house in 2007. Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit's fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. Brothers, pray for us. (1 Thess. 5:16-25, NIV) And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Cor. 9:8, NIV) | |
