Please join us in praying for these requests.  Let us know how we can pray for you!  Thank you!

Dear Prayer Team,

Sunday was a great day of fellowship and worship, and Monday we had the English pastor's lunch with more wonderful fellowship and a time of prayer for each other. Two wonderfully encouraging days!

Ministry:
We are coming toward the end of the "Building Rock-Solid Relationships" Emphasis.  Next week is Father's Day here in Taiwan, and the week after that is Chinese Valentine's Day.  Please pray for the special services and events we have planned and that relationships will continue to grow stronger.

Terrie's English class at the Nazarene Church in Shi Lin has been going for a few weeks now, but she had some new students this week.  The class continues to grow, and each class includes prayer and a verse sharing about the Christian life.  Please pray that more students would join the class and that some students could bring their non-Christian friends to join us.

The funeral services for Flora's nephew were Saturday.  It was very touching Christian funeral. Please continue to pray for God’s comfort for Flora’s aunt “Sue” and her surviving son, “Joe”.  Please pray they can find a church home and feel supported.  Pray that seeds planted in hearts during the service would take root and people would be drawn to Christ.  Please pray for God's mercy and peace for the whole family.

Please pray for Ron as he continues to recuperate from surgery.  He's had kidney stones with complications.

The Filipino Bible Study is going really well.  We're having a great time growing together.  Please continue to pray for this group, for their company Top Guide, and for the new Christians in the group.  Please also pray for Shirley who is their Christian boss.  Please pray for peace and unity among the workers and especially in the dorm where they all live.

Please pray for Meriam's Auntie Gorgonia Lim who is in the hospital.

Please pray for Sheila to be approved for a work permit in Italy.  Please also pray for her father's health and to be healed from diabetes.

Please continue to pray for youth leaders, greeters, and others who will volunteer for ministry.  Please pray for wisdom as we ask some to fill certain ministries. Also please pray for the training we have this coming Sunday for the worship and sound teams.  It is an important meeting/training time where we will have several new people joining both teams.

Please continue to pray for the following upcoming events:
>Baby dedication and Family Commitment Service on August 15
>Promise-Keeping March on August 14.  This is involving several churches and is a march for faithfulness in marriage, purity before marriage, and saying no to drugs.  It is to build up families and their commitment to each other.  It will take place in the downtown Taipei area starting at the 228 Memorial Park.  Please pray that many families and individuals take part in this event and help challenge Taiwan to value purity and the family.
>Valentine's Banquet on August 14.  We hope everyone will invite their friends who have never been to church and would enjoy the fellowship. Please pray for us in the planning of the event and pray for those people everyone will invite to the banquet.

Please pray for Emily's family to come to Christ and for her financial needs as she pays back her student loans. She is also looking for a job. She also asks for wisdom and guidance. Emily is one of our faithful attenders in the evening worship service.

Please pray that we can get more publicity out about our services so people know we are there.

Please pray for Norma's brother and mother for health and for family problems to be resolved.

Please pray for Jane and Dormy's health.

Many in our church are the first Christian in their families.  Please lift up their families and coworkers that they will come to salvation.

Please pray for Hope, Amy, Ellen, and Emily who are looking for jobs.

Family:
Please pray for our friends, the Kobals, who are moving back to the States Sunday. We are going to miss them very much.  Also, please pray for Mike to find a job in the States.

Please continue to pray for Annie and Terrie's allergies and for Terrie's headaches to stop.

Please continue to pray for home school. A church in Texas is going to provide most of our home school materials!  It is such an answer to prayer!  They have many home schooling families in their church and are providing us with their used materials.

Still no jobs for us, but we're looking and praying.  It seems the more we try to find jobs the more the ministry takes our time.  Of course, our hearts are in ministry, and we would love to just continue serving in ministry full time, but alas, bills must be paid!  :-)  So, please keep praying for jobs or for supporters for the ministry to help meet the needs we have.

The kids at Grandpa and Grandma Gundrum's house in 2007.

Please continue praying about the books that Terrie is having translated.  Please pray for God's will and leading in this.

Thank you so much for praying!  Thank you to those who support this ministry in so many ways.  We love you so much!  Let us know how we can pray for you!

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.  Do not put out the Spirit's fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt.  Test everything. Hold on to the good.  Avoid every kind of evil.  May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.  Brothers, pray for us. (1 Thess. 5:16-25, NIV)

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Cor. 9:8, NIV)
