About Us
Pastor David Brown and his family returned to Taiwan in Augut, 2008 to begin working on a new work God put on their hearts.  They started Living Springs Church in 2008 in Danshui but soon after realized that everyone attending was commuting from Taipei.  They originally felt led to begin a church in Taipei,  and so they moved to Glory Church in Nangang in December, 2008.  They began services officially partnering with Glory Church in January, 2009 and changed services from Saturday evenings to Sunday mornings in February, 2009.

The overshadowing mission is to share the Gospel with as many people as possible in Taiwan; but specifically, they feel a burden for the English-speaking community in Taiwan.  This group is made up of many Taiwanese who have traveled abroad or who want to learn English, business people passing through for a short time, and teachers and other ex-patriates who live for many years in Taiwan.  They want to begin a new English ministry in Taipei and several satellite churches throughout Taiwan.

Previously, they served in Taiwan for seven years beginning in September 1999.  Dave was the English pastor at Grace Baptist Church and also led a worship service each week at Jen Sun Nursing Home in Sheng Ken which he still leads.  During the seven years, the Browns saw the Lord work mightily in bringing people from all over the world to Himself.  The English congregation grew from about 180 people to over 700 people in the seven years.  During that time they also saw these same people grow in the Lord and become Bible teachers, ministers, short term and long-term missionaries, and evangelists to their families and friends.

Terrie taught Bible and English classes to many who wanted to learn what the Bible says.  She worked as a volunteer with the Voice of Salvation Radio ministry, and she helped coordinate a mission choir trip around the island with the GBC choir and the choir from Fair Oaks, California.  She helped in the discipleship of many individuals and was the Creative Arts Director for the English Congregation.  She also helped begin the annual Children's Art Festival.  She began a community English choir and still leads the Taipei English Community Choir.

Rachelle was seven when the Browns moved to Taiwan.  She is now in 11th Grade.  Nathaniel was four and is now in 9th Grade.  Annalyssa was two and attended Chinese school while in Taiwan.  She is now in 6th Grade.  Ryan was born in Taiwan, attended Chinese school, and is now in 2nd Grade.

I came to learn English and found Jesus
Meet May who is a young mother in Taipei.  She came to an English class to improve English and learned more than just English.  She learned about the Bible and about Jesus Christ.  Soon, she opened her heart to the Lord.  Since then, she has gone on several mission trips to China and works for a ministry full time.

I had no direction
Meet Emily who is a young single woman who felt she had no direction in her life.  She found Jesus at a church service and began reading the Bible daily.  She asked to be discipled by Terrie, and they met regularly to study and discuss the Bible.  After a few years, she felt she should go to seminary.  After finishing seminary, she is now serving on staff in a local Chinese church.

Unsure of beliefs
Meet Steve, a scientist from America working in Taipei.  He had his doubts about God and creation.  He wasn't sure what he believed when he first arrived in Taiwan.  Over the course of several months, he settled a lot of those questions and was discipled in his new faith.  Then, he began to help in ministry as well.

From strong Buddhist to strong Christian
Meet Alice, a Taiwanese young lady who, with the Lord's help, found ways to minister to her unbelieving family.  She has been able to share her faith with them and hopes to see them come to understand the faith she's found in Christ.
Just passing through
Meet Mark who was visiting a friend from the Czech Republic.  He was only in Taiwan for six months, and during that time he accepted Christ as his Savior and Lord.  He returned to the Czech Republic and helped begin three churches there.

Homesick and alone
Meet Diane, an English teacher from Canada.  She had never been away from home, and she found friends and comfort in the English service.  She also found Christ.  During the year after that, Terrie helped disciple her in the Lord.  She returned to Canada to continue her education and is preparing for full time children's ministry.

Serving and going
Meet the Smiths.  He's from South Africa and she's Taiwanese.  They committed their lives to Christ. Dave counseled and married the couple.  Soon, they began serving in the church.  Then, the Lord put on their hearts to serve in missions.  They moved to another country to serve the Lord there.

From lost and lonely to evangelist
Meet Mack who moved to Taiwan but hated being there.  He had a church background but didn't know Christ.  He met Christ in Taiwan, and his life was completely turned around.  He began an evangelistic ministry and has helped many others find Christ in Taiwan.

These are just a few of the stories from the ministry we've enjoyed in Taiwan.  The fields are ripe and ready to harvest!  God is good!
