Below is an eight-week prayer guide with corresponding video clips (coming soon) that can be used in your church as you prepare for us to come and speak at your church or as your team prepares to come minister here.
Week 1 – Pray for the families of Taiwan
Pray that families will be strengthened and marriages be reconciled
Pray that families will value each other with respect, love, and nurturing
Pray that the pressures of school will not overwhelm children
Pray that families will find hope and forgiveness and the suicide rate will go down
Pray that young families will have God's wisdom in parenting
Pray that families will not need to be separated by jobs
Pray that Christian family members will be bold in witnessing to their families

Week 2 – Pray for the spiritual needs of Taiwan
Pray that the people develop a God-given, holy curiosity about the Bible and Christianity
Pray that blind eyes will be opened to the truth of God
Pray that thousands will be set free from the bondage of false religions and spiritual abuses
Pray that Christians will be diligent in reading the Word of God and know it well
Pray for those who have recently come to Christ from Buddhism and Taoism will understand the True God and how to worship Him
Pray that Christians will learn to forgive and heal
Pray that the people of Taiwan will find hope in Christ

Week 3 – Pray for the government officials and teachers of Taiwan
Pray that religious freedom remains strong in Taiwan
Pray that the government leaders and teachers will have wisdom
Pray for the relationship between China and Taiwan to remain peaceful
Pray for more teachers and leaders to become Christians
Pray that foreign teachers would be Christians and share their faith
Pray for foreign teachers to be protected and taken care of
Pray for the elections and government processes to be peaceful

Week 4 – Pray for the ministry of the Brown family
Pray for the new church start to find a meeting place
Pray for the financing and staffing of the church
Pray for the unity and direction of the new church that it would be directed by the Lord
Pray for the start-up team and the incorporation of the church
Pray for effective outreach and that the church affects the community in a positive way for Christ
Pray for all the legal/government requirements to be met
Pray that the church will have all the supplies it needs to disciple people and teach them as well as having enough chairs, equipment, etc.

Week 5 – Pray for the missionaries and ministers of Taiwan
Pray for the IMB missionaries in Taiwan. They are starting house churches all over the island. Some work in Mandarin, some in Taiwanese, and some in the Hakka language.
Pray for the English ministers of Taiwan dealing with cultural differences
Pray that the English ministers would be true to God’s Word and have His wisdom
Pray for the local pastors to have God’s wisdom and guidance in leading their churches
Pray that churches would learn to love each other, cooperate with one another, and forgive each other
Pray that church leaders would seek to follow God's leading in church decisions
Pray that prayer would become one of the most important parts of all church life

Week 6 – Pray for the Brown children
Pray for Rachelle – dealing with school, sensory issues, focusing, and friendships
Pray for Nathaniel – dealing with school, sensory issues, writing difficulties, focusing
Pray for Annalyssa – school, regaining her Chinese
Pray for Ryan – school, regaining his Chinese
Pray for Rachelle’s braces and possible surgery on her jaw
Pray for Nathaniel’s braces to spread his teeth apart, his bone graft surgery, and his braces after that to straighten his teeth
Pray for all four kids to grow in their understanding and knowledge of God

Week 7 – Pray for the Brown’s visas, paperwork, finances, etc
Pray that visas and other paperwork can be gathered and everything work smoothly
Pray for enough sponsoring churches to help support our salary for two years
Pray for enough money for the children’s schooling
Pray for us to find adequate housing for our family
Pray that, if we are to get other jobs temporarily, that those will come through quickly
Pray that the move will go smoothly, that our things will clear customs easily
Pray that we will know God’s timing on when to arrive in Taiwan and that we’ll have the necessary finances for the plane tickets and the move
